Restoring Balance and Reclaiming Fun: The Games Party

Welcome to The Games Party! Founded in 2024, The Games Party is a unique approach to the traditional 2-party system in America. Historically, the 2 party system serves as a significant divide between Americans. As a result, critical issues often get overshadowed by the "them vs us" mentality. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in America is extremely polarized. So polarized, in fact, that the line in the sand is drawn based on if you are "with us or against us". This idea is damaging to the Country as a whole, and takes away the ability for constructive debate.

This does not sit well with me, as I agree with points from both sides, yet believe both parties are corrupt in their own way. Really, I disagree with the system itself, which perpetuates hate, divide, and inequality. Considering the fact that I believe most, if not all, politicians are inherently corrupt, I only had one choice - create my own party and disrupt the system.

I acknowledge that I am by no means a political expert - I frequently text my friend Connie for clarification - but, I do conduct my own research before drawing conclusions. In the era of digital media, it is now more important than ever to use multiple sources, scrutinize what you see on social media, and expose yourself to alternate sources and ideas. Only looking at information that supports your stance without acknowledging new information is unreliable. We learned in school how important it is to fact check and use credible sources!

The Games party essentially serves as a starting point towards change and to motivate people to make their own, informed, decisions. It also showcases the corruption in our current system, and how change can be benefit everyone. As a country, if we continue to prioritize corporations, our citizens will continue to suffer. The Games Party is aimed at restoring the idea that American Citizens are what makes America great, and we should prioritize them as such. Better for everyone is better for everyone!
